Responsibilities

Duties include supervision and management of flight instruction staff, designation of assistant chief instructor, and check instructors.

Evaluate reports generated by SMS and implement changes in procedures to reduce risks.

Ensure standardization of instruction.

Ensure compliance with applicable FAR’s for all instruction activities.

Interface with FSDO with changes and continued approval of TCO’s.

Interface with local college for program changes.

Other duties to facilitate smooth operation of the training program.

Will be required to complete an FAA check ride for 141 operations.

Additional Duties include managing Fixed Wing 135 operations and pilots and interface with FAA inspectors for Fixed Wing 135 operations.

 

Qualifications

Candidates must be a self-starter, able to work with little or no supervision and hold valid CFII certificate.

Candidates must meet the qualifications of FAR 141.35 with 2,000 hours PIC, 3 years and 1000 hours of instruction given and 100 hours of actual or simulated instrument time.

Candidates with prior 135 experience will be given preference
